The Soccer for Hope Camp is the perfect combination of soccer skill training and valuable
life lessons. Designed for girls and boys ages 6 - 13, the skills taught at these events
are based on each child's level of development. Beginners learn basic concepts and skills
while advanced players are taught challenging tactics and new techniques.
Kids train with professional players from Europe and the US, coaches from nationally
ranked college teams and local club coaches - all volunteers for Soccer for Hope.
Celebrity players stop by to talk, play, perform demonstrations and sign autographs!
SFH Camp is an annual event held in Mission Viejo, CA and draws around 400 kids each
summer. The day camp lasts 5 days (mornings only) and culminates in a charity walk on
the final day. The SFH Charity Walk brings together campers, their families and community
leaders for a fun-filled morning of walking, soccer and exciting events!
At SFH Camp, everyone has fun AND learns to appreciate the needs of less fortunate
children. Proceeds from our camp (and clinics) go to the Soccer for Hope Charity Fund
that benefits children with life threatening diseases. What a great opportunity to
learn, help others and have fun!
Update:
The 2007 Soccer For Hope camp was again a huge success and raised over $75,000! We had over 350 kids participate in the camp and had the following guest celebrities and coaches working with the kids: Alexi Lalas (USA Hall of Fame), Chris Albright (US National Team and LA Galaxy), Kristine Lilly (US National Team), Christie Rampone (US National Team) and Tisha Venturini (Former US National Team). We would like to thank the following Division 1 Colleges for their support: Loyola Marymount University Men, UC Irvine Men & Women and Cal State Fullerton Men & Women.
