This year’s Evening of Hope Event was again held at the Carl Nolet, Sr. Hospitality Center to raise funds for children’s cancer research. Benefiting both CHLA and CHOC, the evening started off with more than 50 unique Silent Auction items which included a Mia Hamm Signed Jersey, Chivas USA Signed Team Jersey, Round of Golf at Shady Canyon, a Double Magnum bottle of JUSTIN, a basket filled with $1,000 of Obagi Products and tickets to see the Angels, Dodgers, and Fleetwood Mac. A buffet style dinner was pleasantly arranged by Chef John, from Emerald Catering, and a visual program was put together showing our recent programs and upcoming goals. On hand to accept awards for their tireless dedication to research were Dr. Girish Dhall from CHLA and Dr. Diane Nugent from CHOC. Both shared their passion for medicine and stressed the financial importance of the private sector in finding a cure. Concluding the evening was a Live Auction which included items such as VIP Tickets to Dancing With The Stars, a Kobe Bryant signed Basketball, Private Dinner Party for 12 catered by Chef John and Tickets to a LA Galaxy Game in your own private Suite. What made this casual and intimate evening truly special was the generous support of our friends in the community who share our passion for helping children with cancer.
