Ports America Toy Donation
Over the holidays Ports America donated more than 50 new toys to Soccer For Hope. We drove the toys up to Children's Hospital LA the week before Christmas bringing joy to so many patients. We sent some toys to what the hospital calls "the north pole" for the inpatient kids, the ER, Radiology and of course the outpatients kids who are part of the brain tumor program. A huge THANK YOU goes to Walter Romanowski and Michelle Wurzer for all their effort in bringing this special company together and donating to children whose holidays were spent in the hospital.

Evening of Hope ~ Saturday, October 15th 2011 at 6pm
Our 4th annual Evening of Hope event will be held at the Lew Webb Classic Car Museum in Aliso Viejo. All proceeds will benefit Soccer For Hope's ongoing pediatric cancer research at Children's Hospital LA and OC. The elegant evening will include gourmet dinner by Chef John Byrne, a first class silent & live auction and a museum of classic cars including Rolls Royce, Cadillac, Auburn and Duesenberg to name a few. Accepting awards for their tireless dedication to research will be Dr. Jonathan Finlay, Director of the Neural Tumors Program at CHLA, and Dr. Diane Nugent, Director of the Hematology Program at CHOC. We would love to have you join us for this intimate evening of friends who share our passion for helping children fighting cancer.

Mission Viejo Soccer Camp Recap
The 13th Annual Soccer For Hope Camp, held August 16th - 20th 2010, was again a huge success and raised over $25,000 for pediatric cancer! We had over 200 kids at camp and had the following college soccer teams participate this year: Loyola Marymount University , University of California Irvine , Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Dominguez Hills. Also in attendance was the Los Angeles Galaxy & Chivas USA street team. Both organizations handed out prizes and tickets to an upcoming home game. Alex Zotinca, a MLS professional soccer player for Chivas USA , came out to sign autographs and answer questions about professional soccer in the US . Mia Hamm was unable to attend this year but graciously signed more than 200 autograph cards for every child who came to camp. Volunteering their time to help make this year such a success was more than 25 High School soccer players earning their required community service hours. We are truly grateful to the City of Mission Viejo for allowing Soccer For Hope to use the former World Cup Training Facility to host such an important camp, reaching so many families, in so many different ways. Thank you!!!
